Account Director

Reporting to the Vice-President of Client Services, the Account Director oversees all aspects of our interactive projects. He or she is involved in strategic planning, supervises ongoing projects managed by his or her account team, actively builds and maintains client relationships, and takes part in client pitches.

What you will do

  • Lead strategic planning and brainstorms for client web presence and digital initiatives
  • Participate in client pitches
  • Plan large scale projects in order to accomplish client objectives within given constraints; ensure all scheduled tasks, deadlines, and milestones for all stakeholders and resources are being met
  • Ensure that deliverables prepared by the team members are properly tested and that the finished product meets requirements, standards, and the highest level of quality before being sent to clients or third parties for internal testing or review
  • Effectively communicate relevant project/practice information to superiors and peers in other departments
  • Together with the Media, Social, Reporting team, ensure the delivery of accurate and timely reports on all aspects of project, brands, and initiatives
  • Create, maintain, and seek to improve production processes
  • Deliver accurate and detailed proposals, statements of work, and yearly interactive budgets
  • Input all project budgets into accounting management system in a timely manner, ensuring that all invoicing takes place efficiently
  • Help direct reports develop their leadership skills while serving as a role model and mentor; clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Oversee performance management for all team members, conducting performance evaluations of all direct reports
  • Ensure completion of timesheets, vacation, absence requests, and expense reports
  • Build a knowledge base of each client’s business, organization, and objectives to anticipate needs or potential opportunities for brand growth in the digital space; keep current on new technologies related to website and web application development
  • Understand the implications of different technical choices, and guide clients to the best solution for their needs and situation
  • Grow long-term relationships with clients and capitalize on equity and partnership opportunities
  • Travel or overtime may be required

What you will bring

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of digital production and account management experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of management experience
  • Good leadership skills
  • Passion for the digital field
  • Priority management skills
  • Ability to work hand in hand with a cross-functional team
  • Ideally, a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Management. Relevant work experience will also be considered
