P&G Canada Names BAM Strategy Best Agency Partner

We are really excited to announce that we have been named Procter & Gamble Canada's Best Agency Partner for 2008. We were awarded this honour on October 30th at the P&G Canada Marketing Awards held in Toronto. The P&G Canada Marketing Awards are an annual event held to celebrate the success and award the best of the past year's marketing campaigns and innovations.

We feel especially honoured to win this award in a year where P&G Canada was named the Brand of the Year by Strategy Magazine. According to Strategy Magazine, P&G "has integrated its trademark innovation with new, more human marketing communications". Strategy Magazine also noted the P&G "the global company reported a 33% increase in net income in Q4" and "in the same period, Canada recorded the highest percentage growth of all markets".

Chris Emergui, President of BAM Strategy, was delighted with this recognition and said that "we are truly humbled by this award and look forward to helping Procter & Gamble cement their position as digital marketing leaders".

We have partnered P&G Canada on interactive projects for over thirty brands including Olay, Tide, CoverGirl, Tampax, Pantene, Always, Crest, Duracell, Clairol, and Asacol. Herbal Essences "Love Is in the Hair", and Gillette's "Redefine Your Look "campaigns were also Creative Summit Award and WebAward winners.

BAM Strategy Named One of Montreal's Top 15 Employers
2008-10-08

We are pleased to announce that that from a list of 16,000 Canadian companies we have been recognized as one of Montreal's Top 15 Employers for 2009. We were in very good company, being honoured with leading companies L'Oréal Canada, McGill University and the Yellow Pages Group to name a few. Montreal's Top 15 Employers was compiled by Mediacorp and announced in The Gazette and Le Devoir on October 18th. Mediacorp also compiles the national list of Canada's Top 100 Employers which is published in Maclean's magazine. While compiling this list Mediacorp started with over 16,000 Canadian companies.

With forty-two employees listed at the time of the survey, we were also pleased to be recognized as the smallest company on the list. Some of the reasons Mediacorp awarded us with this recognition include: an RRSP matching plan, free weekly kickboxing classes in the office, tuition subsidies, an employer-paid health plan, and additional time off during holidays and as personal days.

Playing to Unwind with the "Discover your Zen with P&G'' Contest
2008-10-07

We are excited to launch the 'Discover your Zen with P&G' contest. This contest gives users the chance to win one of five $500 cash prizes to pamper themselves with a spa treatment at the location of their choice or one of ten gift baskets valued at $250 from now until the middle of December.

A fun component of this project is the Mah Jong solitaire game. It is a game where users match various P&G brand logos. The highest scores are then showcased in the Top 20. The Mah Jong game was designed and built in-house and is a project that has helped us to further develop our creative and technical skills.

We have had the pleasure of working with this client on a number of projects in the past and looks forward to new and exciting projects in the future. Running for the Cure
2008-10-07

The CIBC Run for the Cure has always been an important community event to BAM and Divine.ca. To raise money and awareness for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, we were really excited to participate in the CIBC Run for The Cure in Montreal

The CIBC Run for the Cure is a national event that was held this year on Sunday October 4th. In Montreal, the run collected $1,700,000 towards a cure, and nationally the run attracted over 170,000 participants in 55 communities across Canada. Since it began seventeen years ago, the CIBC Run for the Cure has raised $28.5 million for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Cleaning Up Montreal with the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
2008-10-01

On September 27th, we participated in the TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. The TD Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national environmental initiative organized by the Vancouver Aquarium to clean up garbage on shores across Canada. The Cleanup began fifteen years ago when four Vancouver Aquarium employees started a small beach cleanup crew. Since then, this program has grown into a national event and is now recognized as the second largest cleanup in the world! In 2007, they cleaned up 1,240 shores, removing over 87,489 kg of shoreline garbage.

This year marks BAM's first time participating in this event. We were really lucky to have beautiful, sunny weather and enjoyed a great day of picking up litter on Montreal's Lachine Canal. As a group of eighteen, we collected several bags of garbage and recycling. Some of the more peculiar items we collected were a bike wheel and a chicken bone.

''Love is in the Hair'' Wins Two Web Marketing Association WebAwards

We are really excited to announce that one of our projects, Herbal Essence's Love is in the Hair, was the recipient of two Web Marketing Association WebAwards. Herbal Essence's Love is in the Hair was awarded with an Advertising Standard of Excellence award and a Marketing Standard of Excellence award.

The Web Marketing Association WebAwards honours outstanding website development in ninety-six industry categories. We are especially delighted to be recognized in a competition with brands like Disney and Harry Potter and top agencies in the industry.

BAM is the Recipient of Two Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards
2008-08-27

We are very excited to announce that we have won two Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards for two of our recent projects - 'Gillette's Redefine Your Look' and 'Clean Up with Class from P&G'. The Summit Marketing Effectiveness Awards is an international competition that recognizes advertising campaigns which have successfully influenced consumer's knowledge and beliefs. Both projects took home awards in the Consumer Products category.

'Gillette's Redefine Your Look', which won a Bronze (Finalist) award, featured a beard-o-matic tool where users could create their own 'playoff beard'. 'Clean Up with Class from P&G', which won a Silver (Winner) award, takes users on an interactive journey through the history of the washing machine.

More Room(s) for Creativity at BAM
2008-06-27

With lots of exciting new projects and talented additions to our team, 2008 has been a very exciting year for us! With all of these developments, our 7340 square foot office is getting a little crowded. We are really excited that we will be taking over another floor in our Montreal office and expanding to over 14 000 square feet.

Most of the new office space will be used for employee offices; however we are also taking this opportunity to add a couple of new features to the office. Although all of the details have yet to be finalized, we are considering installing a gym for weight training and fitness and yoga classes, a library, and an internal training center for courses and seminars.

The expansion will take place in early 2009.

 

BAM at the Telus JDRF Walk
2008-06-02

On May 25th we participated in the Telus JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes here in Montreal! We were a team of over twenty people who fundraised over $1500 for Juvenile Diabetes Research.

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation works not only to raise awareness about juvenile diabetes and collect funds to find a cure, but also to help support those living with juvenile diabetes and their families by creating a community of support.The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation organizes a number of fundraisers nationally throughout the year; these include: the Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes and the Ride for Diabetes Research. More Exciting Projects Launched

In the past few months we have been really lucky to work on some amazing projects. To promote the Gillette Fusion razor, we worked with NHL and Gillette to create the Redefine Your Look website. This site includes a beard-o-matic tool where you can create your own playoff beard!

Another interesting project was 'Clean Up with Class from P&G'. This site takes users on a journey through the timeline of the washing machine giving a history of laundry. With lots of fun games and interesting facts-you will be surprised to see how fun laundry can be!

We also worked with Gillette on a great project called the Change Your Life Sweepstakes. This site gives users the chance to win a life-changing trip to Las Vegas. Don't miss out on the poker tool that was designed especially for this site.
